Day 1: Trek from Machame Gate (1,800 meters) through rainforest to Machame Camp (3,000 meters).
Hiking Time: 5-7 hours | Distance: 11 km (7 miles) | Habitat: Rainforest
Day 2: Ascend to Shira Camp (3,840 meters) via a steep trail through moorland.
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours | Distance: 5 km (3 miles) | Habitat: Moorland
Day 3: Trek to Lava Tower (4,630 meters) for acclimatization and descend to Barranco Camp (3,960 meters).
Hiking Time: 6-8 hours | Distance: 10 km (6 miles) | Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 4: Climb the Barranco Wall and trek to Karanga Camp (4,035 meters).
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours | Distance: 5 km (3 miles) | Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 5: Trek to Barafu Camp (4,640 meters) and prepare for the summit attempt.

Day 6: Early morning summit attempt to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), then descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters).

Day 7: Descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (1,650 meters).
