Marangu Route

The Marangu Route offers a unique trek with scenic landscapes, mountain huts, and a rewarding summit to the "Roof of Africa." This 5-night, 6-day journey is ideal for adventure seekers ready to take on the challenge.

About the Marangu Route

Also known as the "Coca-Cola Route," the Marangu Route is the oldest and most established path to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Unique among routes for offering hut accommodations instead of camping, it provides trekkers with dormitory-style sleeping arrangements.

Distance: Approximately 72 kilometers (45 miles) round trip.

Duration: Typically completed in 5 to 6 days. A 6-day itinerary includes an extra day for acclimatization, which is highly recommended.

Starting Point: Marangu Gate, located on the southeastern side of Mount Kilimanjaro.
